How we, as lawyers, communicate with our lay clients is something that has always fascinated me.

I was called to the Bar in 2001, dual-qualifying as a Solicitor in 2008, and I’ve often found that the Latin maxims that we may view as the tools of our trade are seldom of comfort to an accused who will only really want to know if he’ll be out for Christmas!

This led me to develop various client-centric leaflets in an attempt to demystify ‘legalese’ as well as producing regular printed newsletters with the idea of the ‘soft cross-sell’ of property services to litigation clients and vice versa. Twenty years on, I now create unique, engaging, content for law firms that can be disseminated by email and through social media to engage their past, present and future clients.
